Christmas Tree Growers and New Jersey Agriculture Society team together to donate free Christmas trees to military families this holiday season.

It's the second year in a row where NJ Christmas tree growers donate trees for military families, who are often on a tight budget especially during the holidays.

Tim Dunne of NJ Christmas Tree Growers Association says it's a way to recognize their contribution to society and show our gratitude for protecting this country.

Meanwhile, families are just happy to be remembered during this time because some military personnel are spending the holidays overseas instead of with their families.

SSgt. Rachelle Smith tells 6abc,"they're going to think I'm the best mom in the world and I just have to make three smile this year."
