I just wanted to take a minute to salute our heroic Veterans today. Thank you to all who have served and to all who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy.  It is not lost on me that every time Lou and I are granted the privilege to speak freely over our airwaves, someone fought for that freedom. Today and always we thank our military veterans from the bottom of our hearts.

It is crazy to think that my Dad was just an 18 year old kid when he went off to Vietnam.  I can only imagine how terrifying that must have been.  To be sent away to a foreign land to fight for your life. I think about how gut-wrenching it must have been for my grandmother to send her oldest son knowingly into harm's way.

One of our Jersey Shore Morning Show listeners, Cara Daniello, decided to organize an effort to get emails of gratitude into the inboxes of our Veterans today. She said that so many of you participated...you rock!  Thousands of Veterans got messages of thanks today because of all of you!  You can read about that here.

Today we honor those that fought, served, never came home and the families that held their breath while watching them go.  THANK YOU to all our Veterans, today and always!  God Bless America!
