This New Jersey nonprofit organization is banding together to beat the Guinness World Record while raising awareness for abused children.

Community Treatment Solutions (CTS) wants to beat the Guinness World Record for largest rubber band ball which weighs 9,032 pounds.

So far...they're at 14-pounds. Needless to say they have a really long way to go, but it's for a great cause!

The project, Rubber Band Bus (Bands that Unite Us), raises awareness for children suffering from abuse, provides resources, and raises money for the cause.

Since its beginning in May, over 1,000 children have added rubber bands to the 14-pound ball across the state.

Keep an eye out for this bus! It's such a great and creative way to support children who are abused.

They were recently in Salem County at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and plan to make more stops throughout the area.
