    Goosebumps

For those Goosebumps fan out there (like me!), Goosebumps is finally in theatres this weekend opening Friday, October 16. The movie tells the story of Zach Cooper, who just moved from a big city to a small town until he meets a beautiful girl named Hannah who lives right next door. However, things take a darker turn when Zach learns that Hannah’s mysterious dad, played by Jack Black, is Goosebumps author R. L. Stine--and that his characters are real. Screencrush is calling it a "great first horror movie for kids."

    Bridge of Spies

Steven Spielberg is at it again with Bridge of Spies, starring Tom Hanks as the American attorney recruited by the CIA to negotiate the release of a U-2 spy plane pilot who was shot down over Russia at the height of the Cold War. The last war film Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg made together was, Saving Private Ryan, and was nominated with 11 Academy Awards, not too shabby!

    Room

Room, tells the story of a woman, played by Brie Larson, and her 5-year-old son who finally gain their freedom after being held captive for years in an enclosed space, exposing the boy to the outside world for the first time in his life. The movie debuted during the Toronto Film Festival and is finally being released in theaters this Friday, October 16. It seems to be a very emotional drama that might just pull at your heartstrings.

Woodlawn tells the true story of a high school football player that has to embrace his talent and keep his faith while battling racial tensions in Birmingham, Alabama during the 1970s. Inspired by the true story of the rise of Tony Nathan, the first African American football superstar, this movie worth a watch. The film is also starring Sean Astin and Jon Voight.
