New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, although pleased with the progress, says $8.85/hour is still not enough, and hopes to reach his goal of minimum wage increasing to $15/hour, according to 6abc.com.

State Senate President Steve Sweeney told NJ.com, "I'm a believer in the $15 dollar minimum wage. But I'm worried about small businesses." Sweeney expects conversation to continue in 2019.
