Millville Police Officer Injured In Car Crash
Early Wednesday afternoon around 1:15p.m., a Millville police officer was involved in a car crash with a SUV, says Lt. Ross Hoffman.
No names yet of either the police officer or driver of the SUV have been released.
Hoffman goes on to say that the accident occurred at Broad and 6th streets near Millville Memorial High School. The accident is still being investigated by the Millville Traffic Safety Unit and the road is currently closed until further notice.
The unnamed officer and female driver are currently seeking medical treatment at Cooper University Hospital and AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus after being airlifted from the scene of the accident.
Police are not releasing at this time who went to what hospital or how bad the injuries are.
More information will be released as the investigation continues.
