Meghan Trainor Announces New Album ‘Treat Myself’
After several months of teasing, Meghan Trainor has officially announced her third studio album.
The record, titled Treat Myself, will arrive August 31, she revealed via social media on Tuesday (June 19). She also shared a snippet of bouncy new single "All the Ways."
Trainor, who last released 2016's Thank You, has thus far unveiled three songs in support of the project: disco-funk effort "Let You Be Right," sass-fueled anthem "No Excuses," and groove-oriented club track "Can't Dance."
The 24-year-old singer previously said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that her entire family — including newly minted fiancé Daryl Sabara — sings on every track of the record. Her father also plays piano and organs on one song.
"It's really special," Trainor told the outlet. “It’s obviously me being in love and happy, and reminding myself to choose happiness and love myself."
In fact, speaking to Glamour earlier this month, she said the bulk of the LP was inspired by her relationship with Sabara.
"I'm so in love, and I want to tell the world. I feel like it's almost unfair how lucky I am, you know?" she explained. "Every moment of every day we always look at each other like, 'How did I get you?' I always say it's better than the movies. They don't talk about this kind of love in the movies. I love talking to people about it. I love bragging about it."
