Mariah Carey has earned many nicknames throughout her 24 year career: Mirage, M, Mimi, Imperfect Angel.  Well now the diva has christened herself 'The Elusive Chanteuse'.  The label is just a small part of the title of the singer's forthcoming 14th studio album.

I wouldn't necessarily say 'elusive chanteuse' is a compliment the way Mariah wants to carry it.  It likely stems from her inability to arrive to any interview or commitment on time.  She's usually hours upon hours late, leaving poor unsuspecting victims unnerved and annoyed (sadly, I've been on the receiving end of Mimi's tardiness on numerous occasions).

The front cover of Mariah's new album is insanely airbrushed (as usual), but the back cover is a sentimental image from Mariah's childhood, which helps to explain why she titled the new collection of songs as she did:
