Laurie Hernandez plans on celebrating her big win at the Olympics with Wawa once she gets home!

At least this is how her brother, Marcus Hernandez, plans on celebrating with the native Jersey girl! NBC10 Philadelphia says, Marcus instagrammed a selfie of his Olympic gold medalist sister promising: 'as soon as you land we're going straight to Wawa."

The selfie I get from my sis right after she competed 🙌🏽 even though I haven't even watched it yet on NBC 😑. But anyways I am so proud of who you are and what you've accomplished. We were talking about this being a possibility a decade ago and to see it actually happen is too much for me to handle. It's blowing my mind how the same little girl I used to see doing flips on my bed at age 6 now has a gold medal. I have seen you deal with so much adversity with the sport over the last several years and to finally see your hard work culminate makes it all worth it. You're the toughest little 16 year old I've ever met and I'm not saying that just cause I'm a proud bro. Remember to give God his glory always! Love you sis and can't wait to see you kill it Monday as well. As soon as you land we're going straight to Wawa

So if you or someone you know live in Old Bridge, New Jersey keep an eye out for Laurie!

Wawa also expressed their delight that they are part of Laurie's Jersey way of life:

"On behalf of the entire Wawa team, we want to extend a huge congratulations to Laurie on this incredible achievement," said Wawa spokeswoman Lori Bruce. "We’re so honored and humbled to be a part of this hometown hero's life!"

What does she plan to get at Wawa? No idea yet, BUT she can get some ideas from my personal Wawa shopping list:

  • Italian hoagie with roasted peppers and onions (YUM)
  • Slim jim and cheese stick (always a guilty pleasure)
  • Wawa Pretzel, because ...duh
  • Buffalo Chicken Bites
  • Individual Reese's mini peanut butter cups (you know the one's that are under the counter)
  • Iced French Vanilla coffee

... Actually I think I want some Wawa now.
