Idol Alum Casey Abrams Joins Tom Morgan Friday Morning

We are about 2 weeks away from the SoJO 104.9 Little Pink Dress Party II at the Hard Rock Cafe in Atlantic City,  and our headliner this time around is one of the coolest contestants in American Idol history - Casey Abrams.  Tom Morgan will have Casey join the SoJO Morning Show on Friday Morning.

Abrams was a part of Season 10 on American Idol where he was saved in the Top-11 before being ousted in 6th Place.  Abrams style was bluesy, jazzy, cool, unafraid, and most times downright fun (remember him with Jack Black on the Idol finale in 2011?).

Abrams was anything but a traditional Idol contestant, so his path to singing success is also going in a non-traditional Idol direction.  Abrams stayed away from joining a Universal Music Group label, which is where many Idol finalists wind up.  Casey chose the independent label Concord Music, known primarily for jazz and blues releases (see the fit here?)

So far Abrams is scoring an adult hit with his song "Get Out", at the same time has a hit on the Billboard Smooth Jazz chart with "Simple Life", and will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live the night after he performs at the SoJO 104.9 Little Pink Dress Party II.
