Have you seen Millville, New Jersey man? He’s wanted for attempted murder at Toms River hotel
Have you seen him, know where he is? A Millville man is wanted back here in Toms River and Ocean County for the attempted murder of a woman that occurred at the Howard Johnson hotel on Hooper Avenue near Route 37 last week.
Toms River Police arrived on scene March 3 around 10:30 pm to find a woman on the floor of the hotel lobby suffering from multiple stab wounds to her head, face and body.
She was brought to Jersey Shore University Medical Center where she remains in critical but stable condition.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit and the Toms River Police Detective Bureau began an investigation which led them identifying 34-year old Carles Bryant as the man responsible for the attack.
On Monday, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer and Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little charged Bryant with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Contempt.
Bryant remains on the run and anyone with information, should contact the OCPO or TRPD.
“Bryant is encouraged to turn himself in, a warrant has been issued for his arrest, and his name has been placed in the National Crime Information Center database," Prosecutor Billhimer said in a statement. "Anyone with information concerning Bryant’s whereabouts – or any information at all regarding this investigation - is urged to contact Detective Denis Mitchell of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-929-2027, or Detective Ryan Quinn of the Toms River Township Police Department at 732-349-0150."
