I remember meeting Lindsey Giannini a few months ago at a local school.  We were judging a talent competition, and she was telling me about her major in Broadcasting at Rowan.

Winning the title of 'Miss New Jersey' will certainly help her resume.

Congrats to Hammonton's very own Lindsey Giannini! After four different trips and previously placing second and fourth place in the competition, she finally wins the crown of Miss New Jersey.  Lindsey will now compete for the Miss America crown in September at Boardwalk Hall.

According to The Press of Atlantic City, 'Giannini’s platform is raising awareness of the dangers of distracted driving. During the discussion portion of the final round, when the field of 28 was down to five, Giannini said she helped install permanent street signs that raise awareness of the issue. She said the signs are in 25 states and that she testified before the Senate and municipalities about the issue. She said as Miss New Jersey, she will continue to promote that platform.'

Runners-up from South Jersey included Miss Vineland, Miss Mantua, and Miss Pitman.
