Group Offers $5K Reward for Boardwalk Cat Killers [PHOTOS]
An animal advocacy group is offering a $5000 reward for information that leads to the the conviction of three men suspected of killing three Atlantic City Boardwalk cats.
The cats were found dead near Vermont Avenue and the Boardwalk on March 27, and Atlantic City Police have been trying to identify three men caught on surveillance photos in connection with this investigation.
Alley Cat Allies started the Boardwalk Cat Project in 2000 to trap, neuter and then return a colony of cats living under the Atlantic City Boardwalk. They believe the cats who were killed were part of that program.
Becky Robinson, the group's founder, told the Press of Atlantic City...
Animal cruelty must be taken seriously, and the guilty parties should be punished to the full extent of the law. Atlantic City is a model for the rest of the nation in showing how cats and people coexist. No matter where cats live they are loved and valued.
If you recognize any of these men or have information about this crime, contact Atlantic City Police at 609-347-5766.
