Gloucester Twp. Boy Gets Special Neighborhood Visit From Local First Responders
A little boy named Liam Rutter got quite a surprise when a parade of First Responders rolled down his street in Gloucester Township.
Judging from the comments on his mom Kellie's Facebook post, it was Liam's birthday! And because everyone is social distancing, he was most likely celebrating with just his immediately family.
But the Gloucester Twp. Police, Blackwood Fire Co., and AMR Ambulance decided to gift Liam with a drive-by, and a birthday he'll NEVER forget! Cop cars, fire engines, and ambulances (all with lights and sirens blaring), rolled along as Liam and his mom and baby sister waved, Liam dressed up as a mini firefighter himself!
It's about one of the most heartwarming things I've seen during this whole pandemic. Liam looked so happy! And Kellie wrote on Facebook, 'Thank you so much for driving by to surprise Liam on his special day. We are overwhelmed with gratitude.'
I want to give a special SoJO shout out to these First Responders, too, since I grew up in Gloucester Twp. Those men and women are some of the finest human beings I've ever known. Thank you GTPD, Blackwood Fire Co., and AMR for what you did for Liam today. It's the little things that go such a long way during this difficult time.
And, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LIAM from SoJO 104.9!
