Gloucester Township, NJ Man Charged with Possessing and Distributing Child Pornography
An investigation involving three law enforcement teams has resulted in the arrest of a Gloucester Township, New Jersey man on charges he possessed and distributed images of child pornography.
65-year-old Francis McGrath Jr. was arrested Wednesday after Gloucester Township Police executed a warrant to search his home.
Several electronic devices from McGrath's home were reportedly taken into evidence for further analysis, according to Patch.com.
The investigation into McGrath's alleged criminal activities began when the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received a tip earlier this year, Gloucester Twp. Police Department reports. Detectives with Gloucester Township Police Department partnered with Homeland Security and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office's High Tech Crimes Unit on the case.
McGrath currently sits in the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a court hearing. He faces charges of second-degree distribution of child pornography and third-degree possession of child pornography.
