A weekend accident in Gloucester County took the life of one of the vehicles occupants, and also brought down power lines at the site of the crash.

The tragedy took place around 4:20 a.m. Sunday morning, 6abc.com reports, along Main Road in the Franklin Township section of Gloucester County.

The driver lost control of the vehicle, which reportedly rolled over and crashed into a utility pole. Two people were trapped, according to police. Downed power lines as a result of the accident had to be cut to free them from the car.

One person died. A second was taken to a nearby hospital and is reportedly in critical condition. 6abc.com reports there is little to no information regarding the vehicle's third occupant, or if the fatality was that of the driver or a passenger. None of the identity's of those involved have been released.

Franklin Township Police are currently investigating what caused the crash. We'll update this story as more details become available.
