Girl Scout Research Institute finds reality TV bad influence…wait the Girl Scouts have a research institute?
Reality TV makes people mean, according to a recent Girl Scout Research Institute survey. The new findings show that out of the thousand teen girls paneled 50% regularly watch reality TV programming. What's scarier is that more than 30% of them feel its acceptable to act aggressively as a means of earning respect. More than 30% of female teenagers agree that reality TV teaches them that lying is acceptable behavior. And about a quarter believe outer beauty is more important than what's on the inside. Definitely true of a Thin Mint.
