Even months later, the coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt lives and our local economy. Little by little the Garden State has shown signs of getting back to some kind of normal after being shut down in mid-March.

Yesterday, more progress was made in the reopening of our state, including the reopening of nonessential stores at 50% capacity and outside dining starting on June 15th. Barber shops and salons can officially reopen a week later on June 22nd.

A mainstay for dining in South Jersey, The Gilchrist Restaurant has decided to open their doors now for in-house full service dining, according to their Facebook page and a report from the Press of Atlantic City.

You can now eat in-house at any of the three Gilchrist locations including Gardner's Basin, Margate and Galloway. The Atlantic City Gilchrist location inside the Tropicana remains temporarily closed for now.

According to Gilchrist's Facebook Page, you can still order take-out and wear a face mask - whatever you're most comfortable with.
