It was a message that restaurant owners and salon owners have been wanting to hear for a long time now...When they can reopen.

Governor Murphy held is daily news briefing this afternoon and laid out his plans for phase 2 of getting the economy started again here in New Jersey.

Restaurants can open on Monday, June 15th for outdoor dining only. He also announced that barbershops, hair and tanning salons will be allowed to open on Monday, June 22nd. limited indoor retail shopping will also be expected to open.

Still no word on when gyms and fitness centers will be able to reopen again, but Governor Murphy says that he is working on setting a date.

Also part of Stage 2, according to materials from the governor's office: youth summer programs, in-person clinical research and some governmental services, though he didn't attach specific dates to most. An expected Stage 3 would include expanded dining, "critical" office work, limited entertainment, further personal care and bars with limited capacity.
