Craigslist is full of some odd ads. While I've sold a few things on Craigslist myself, let's be real 90% of the listings are just the junk people are too lazy to bring to the dumps. The listing I came across earlier today is no exception to this. If you are on the hunt for a very large canvas tent, maybe you should give Craigslist a gander. Or maybe not...

There is the saying, if it's free, it's for me. However, sometimes even free is not cheap enough. A listing for a "Vintage Large German Tent," on Craigslist is missing one essential part of the tent according to the photo, the tent itself. The photo features the poles and a bit of canvas, but not nearly enough canvas for the entire tent.

The post description isn't doing it any favors either. The description reads, "Vintage Large German Tent. Sleeps 5 or more. The picture shows the frame of the main part." Being that the post says, "of the main part," does that mean there is another part not shown? It also says the picture shows the frame, does that mean the canvas shown is not a part of the tent? I am thoroughly confused.

I get it, I get it, this is a free tent, but there is no tent.

Props to the photo on the listing. I'm not sure if it's a vintage photo or given a vintage filter to really drive home the idea that the tent is indeed vintage.

In fairness, large canvas tents will run you a pretty penny. A large canvas tent that fits two twin beds and one queen beds costs you around $400.
