Did You Know Bubble Wrap Was Invented in This New Jersey Town?
We made that!
I never knew it, but an incoming SoJO 104.9 summer intern informed me that Bubble Wrap was invented in his home town, Hawthorne, New Jersey!
It was the brainchild of two engineers in the late 1950's to protect computers during shipment. Bubble Wrap came out of an experiment sealing together two plastic shower curtains, according to Wikipedia. But I just use it to annoy my co-workers, lol (guilty pleasure).
Thanks, Michael!
