Residents are up-in-arms over whether or not the mayor of West Wildwood's daughter should be allowed to be on the town's police force.

NJ.com reports that Nicole Fox, daughter of mayor Christopher Fox, is now an officer for the same borough her father governs. It's easy to see why people have mixed feelings about this. It's not completely unheard of, though, for someone to get a spot on the force through a family member. Whether you agree with nepotism or not, it happens all the time.

Non-residents even commented on the commonality of a town requiring its law enforcement to live within the city or borough they serve. That's all well and good, but the plot thickens. As it turns out, the police chief (a.k.a Nicole Fox's boss) is allegedly dating the mayor (a.k.a Nicole's father). See how that muddies that waters a bit?

There was a meeting, but the issue wasn't fully resolved. NJ.com reports that a workshop meeting will occur on June 3rd in the hopes to put the matter to rest.
