Crew Digging Swimming Pool in South Jersey Finds Human Remains
A South Jersey couple got the surprise of a lifetime today when crews digging a hole for a swimming pool made a gruesome discovery: human remains.
The remains were found on a property in Riverton, New Jersey, 6abc.com reports.
The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and a state forensics anthropologist are investigating the discovery on the 600 block of Bank Avenue.
The property's homeowners were reportedly digging a hole for a swimming pool and obviously got more than they bargained for.
Authorities say other than the remains seeming to have been there for a very long time, they do not yet know whether they are male or female.
