A Delicious Restaurant Chain Opening its First Drive-Thru in Ocean County, NJ
We all lead very busy lives. Our time is valuable.
That's why the new drive-thru trend has been welcomed by many.
All of the big players have gone to a hybrid in-store/drive-thru model.
One of the latest examples is Pizza Hut.
The Hut on Brick Boulevard in Brick will be shutting down and relocating to Hooper Avenue and the Silverton section of Toms River.
This summer, The Hut Lane is expected to be opened. You can still dine-in and pick up, but man, that drive-thru lane is going to be extremely handy on those late nights at work when you don't feel like making dinner.
Then, there are stores that are just drive-thrus. Late last year our minds were blown when Farm Stores opened its Route 37 location in Toms River.
Right next to a very busy Wawa, this convenience store doesn't allow you to get out of your car. It's strictly drive-thru. They have all of the essentials and some extras too.
It looks like the next chain that is going to try out the drive-thru model is the ever-popular Chipotle.
The Mexican fast-casual chain has been given the go-ahead to build a drive-thru location in Toms River. It's called a "Chipotlane"
Now, you may be thinking "there's already a Chipotle in Toms River on Hooper Avenue." You are correct. It looks like TR is getting yet another Chipotle.
According to the master of "what's going there," David P. Willis of Asbury Park Press, Chipotle Mexican Grille will be opening on Route 37 at the intersection of 37 and Washington Street.
The restaurant will be just over 2,300-square-feet and will offer dine-in and takeout in addition to the drive-thru.
