A 25-year old Brigantine resident was arrested for heroin distribution earlier this month after complaints from neighbors lead to a lengthy police investigation and a search of the man's home.

According to a press release from Brigantine Police released on Facebook, Andrew C. Cashmere, 25, was arrested on July 3 after police executed a “knock-and-announce” search warrant at his residence in the 200 block of 39th Street South.

Evidence of heroin distribution and money from drug sales were found and Police say that Cashmere also attempted to destroy evidence of drugs while police were searching his home. That evidence was recovered.

Police say the investigation began after several complaints of suspected drug deals at Cashmere's home.

Cashmere faces charges of drug possession, dealing and tampering with evidence. He was served his charges and was released on a summons.
