Bravo Reality Star Kim Richards Arrested, Reportedly Assaults Police Officer
The Kim Richards train wreck has crashed again. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member has been arrested.
E! News confirms Richards was around 1:30 a.m. Friday at the Beverly Hills Hotel after security reported a fight. Witnesses described the star as belligerent with slurred speech and reeking of alcohol.
Richards initially refused to come out of a bathroom, but she was eventually apprehended and taken to Beverly Hills Police Station. Richards allegedly kicked a police officer while in custody. She has since been released following charges of public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer. A court hearing has been set for May 10.
Richards has a long history with substance abuse and her attempted road to sobriety. Back in December 2011, she checked into a treatment facility to address her issues, only to check out a month later.
Richards' return to bizarre behavior was documented during the recent season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. During this week's episode 3 of the season seven reunion Kim insisted she has not been struggling with staying sober. She claims an incident involving pain killers during the poker party episode came as a result of a bronchial infection.
