One of the best parts of the Christmas season is hoping Santa Claus makes an early appearance in your town, and it sounds like Blackwood, Camden County already has a date with The Big Man in Red.

Rather than waiting for the sun to go down before making his appearance, this year Santa Claus will stop by Blackwood during the daylight hours on Saturday, December 19.

Residents can look for Santa (and listen for sirens) on December 19th starting his ride at 1 p.m., getting a lift from Blackwood Fire Company. Santa intends to take his time visiting with the good boys and good girls of all ages in the Gloucester Township town, according to Blackwood Fire Company's Facebook page.

SANTA IS COMING TO BLACKWOOD!!!

Santa will be delivered to Blackwood on December 19, 2020 at 1pm. That's right Santa...

Riding on top of a fire truck is about the safest way to get a glimpse of Santa this year, given the continuing presence of coronavirus. Many shopping malls have already arranged socially distanced scenarios for kids hoping to visit with Ol' St. Nick, whether it be through a Plexiglass barrier or virtually.

We know Santa probably has his hands full trying to keep himself and all his North Pole elves safe this holiday season, and all the toys being 'made' as sanitized as possible. So, it's very cool of him to bring his sleigh out of the stable a little early to put a smile on Blackwood's face. Ho, ho ho!
