Police in Bellmawr, Camden County are looking for the driver and pick-up truck involved in a hit and run that injured a 9-year-old child.

The accident took place Monday morning near the Ethel M. Burke Elementary School along S. White Horse Pike in Bellmawr just before the school day began, 6abc.com reports.

The 9-year-old, a little girl, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and was released the same day, according to Patch.

The vehicle, however, a white pick-up truck, drove away without waiting to speak to authorities.

The truck, which looks like a Ford model, reportedly has damage to its front bumper as well as a broken back window. It appears to possibly be a work truck.
