Happy Summer! Woo HOOO!!!

As the weather warms up, I will be spending more and more time in the sun and at the beach....just like you, I am sure.

But that means that there is more opportunity to come across unique beach discoveries.

Well clearly the season is getting going because, yes....I have found another one.

So my dog, Carolina and I stumbled upon this while on a walk and I immediately jumped up and yelled: "WHAT IN THE CRAP IS THIS?!"

Carolina was fascinated and extremely curious. It. Freaked. Me. Out.

So initially, I was thinking that this would be a manta ray?

But doesn't that look like a different bone structure? Or maybe this little guy is just upside down? Did this guy get eaten and that's why the skeleton is visible?

Plus, this little creature was up pretty high on the beach I was on. How does this creature get stranded so far up? High tide?

I didn't want to spend too much time near this thing nor did I dare to touch it.

To regular beachgoers or those with a lot of knowledge on ocean life, DO YOU KNOW THE ANSWER TO ANY OF THESE QUESTIONS?

I love the beach. I love the ocean life. And I want to learn as much as I can while living here on the Jersey Shore.

So hopefully by now, you know what do: email me now at Nicole.Murray@townsquaremedia.com if you know what this little guy is.
