Airplane Features a Windowless Virtual Reality [VIDEO/POLL]
Wanna feel like you're flying WHEN you're flying? A new kind of virtual reality experience is coming to an airplane near you, but is it TOO real?
In a concept design by Centre for Process Innovation, an airplane's windows can be replaced with floor-to-ceiling screens that display panoramic views captured by cameras mounted outside the plane. You'd literally feel like Superman soaring through the clouds.
The U.K. based company imagines a completely windowless fuselage that would mean a thinner and lighter jet airplane, offering more space and saving on fuel costs.
The virtual reality screens would also be used to show TV shows, commercials, and in-flight movies. You can even press a button and change the landscape of your flight completely.
CPI believes the windowless plane could be become a reality within then next ten years.
