Coughing Flyer on New Jersey-Bound Flight, Complaining Passengers Booted
A United Airlines flight from Colorado to New Jersey had to make an unplanned landing Sunday after two people became disruptive over a fellow passenger who was coughing and sneezing.
The two passengers were reportedly complaining about their seatmate, whom the flight crew determined was dealing with allergies and not exhibiting Coronavirus-like symptoms, such as a high fever or shortness of breath.
When the two passengers failed to comply with warnings to calm down, the Newark bound plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Denver, not long after departing Eagle, Colorado, according to People.com. Police were waiting and removed those disruptive passengers from the aircraft. The flight then continued on to its destination.
Fears over Coronavirus are spreading nationwide as more cases are confirmed. May we suggest that if you have concerns over someone in your orbit, anywhere you are, that appears to be symptomatic, that you alert someone first before overreacting. We all need to be a little more sensitive to each other during this uncertain time because we are all in this together.
