On Saturday, July 19th, Tom Morgan and SoJO on the Go hosted a wonderful volunteer event to benefit the Atlantic City Rescue Mission (ACRM).

ACRM helps over 3,300 homeless and working poor people per year and is the largest provider of comprehensive services, to about 20% of the entire state of New Jersey’s homeless population. ACRM offers services such as Life Restoration, Education, Career Training and Permanent Housing Placement.  For 50 years, they have been helping people get back on their feet.

At Cologne Farm, ACRM harvests produce which will be later be served in the Kitchen and Community Food Basket Programs.  The Farm is a key component in helping the Mission be more self-sustaining. As you can see from the pictures, the day was a lot of fun. To volunteer, go to acrescuemission.org . They are looking for hearty volunteers on Tuesdays starting at 9 AM. TAKE PART!
