9-Year-Old Drowns at Sahara Sam’s Water Park in South Jersey
A boy on a camp trip to a local Sahara Sam's water park Tuesday drowned.
Police responded to a call from Sahara Sam's on White Horse Pike in W. Berlin around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night of a child in medical distress, according to 6abc.com.
When they arrived, they found lifeguards administering CPR to an unconscious 9-year-old Hersh Meilech Grossman of Brooklyn, New York.
After several attempts by local firefighters and EMS to save his life, the child was pronounced dead at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees.
A spokesperson for Sahara Sam's told 6abc.com that a thorough review is in progress, and they are working with authorities.
