2 People Injured in Ocean County Home Invasion

Two people are still recovering in the hospital from injuries sustained from a home invasion Wednesday morning, police say.

A man was found by officers injured in the garage. A female resident was inside the home and injured as well.

Around 2:30 a.m., the 9-1-1 call came in which is believed to have been during the robbery at a home on Eagle Ridge Circle in Lakewood. Ocean County police believe the suspect or suspects might have fled prior to the officers' arrival.

Both injured people were taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment.

No report yet as to why the robbery took place or the conditions of the two injured.

The investigation is still active.
