A tragic accident last evening at a popular Cumberland County festival.

New Jersey State Police say a 10-year-old girl was killed after being thrown from a ride at the Deerfield Harvest Festival in Rosenhayne. The accident happened just after 6pm.

According to NBC Philadelphia the girl was taken to Cooper Hospital last night where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.

The girl's identity has not been released.

A witness at the festival told Townsquare Media last night that rides were still running after the accident.

The latest check of the festival's website says that the festival's parade today has been cancelled, but all the other events will go on as scheduled.
