An accident in Gloucester Township, Camden County Monday afternoon left a motorcycle rider critically injured.

The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon on Black Horse Pike at Landing Road in Blackwood (near Werbeny Tire Town), Patch.com reports.

The motorcyclist was reportedly travelling north on the Pike when a sedan on Landing Road attempted to make a left turn onto the Pike. The driver of that vehicle hit the motorcycle.

The unidentified motorcycle rider was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he reportedly remains in critical conditions with head and pelvic injuries.

The driver of the sedan, who was not hurt, stayed at the scene of the crash to cooperate with police and assist their investigation, according to Patch.com.

The Black Horse Pike (between Brewer and Oak Ave.) was closed to traffic for a time while police assessed the accident.
