Tests have confirmed that 4-year-old Eli Waller, of Hamilton Twp., died from contracting Enterovirus.

Samples from the boy, who died Thursday at his home, were sent to Centers for Disease Control, who confirmed the presence of Enterovirus D68. Hours later the Mercer County medical examiner ruled the virus as Eli's cause of death, 6abc.com reports.

The Yardville Elementary School student had presented with respiratory illness symptoms.

During a Saturday press conference, it was revealed that another 4-year-old student from Eli's school also is also showing ENT-68 symptoms.  His samples are also being examined by the CDC.

The boys were in different preschool classes - one in the morning and one in the afternoon - but used the same classroom.

A meeting was held Saturday night in Hamilton Twp., where parents hoped to get more answers about the virus and prevention.
