Ellen DeGeneres to Host Academy Awards for Second Time [BREAKING NEWS/POLL]

With Seth MacFarlane declining the offer to return as host of the Oscars in 2014, the honor now goes to Ellen DeGeneres.  The 55-year old daytime talk show host last emceed Hollywood's biggest night in 2007.  Are you excited for her return?

DeGeneres confirmed her duties via Twitter today saying:

"It's official: I'm hosting the Oscars! I'd like to thank the Academy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra."

Academy Awards producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said they were "thrilled" to make the announcement Friday that their longtime friend will return to host the show for a second time, People.com reports.

The Academy Awards will be presented on March 2, 2014 live on ABC.
