A South Jersey Town is Considering Changing it's Name

A local town is considering changing its name... because 'it doesn't look good on a sweatshirt'....

To be honest, this kind of makes sense.

Congrats Lower Township, you could be getting a make over. How does the name 'Cape May Township' sound?

After all, you already brand everything 'Cape May':

The Cape May Canal, Cape May Lighthouse, Cape May Inlet, Cape May Harbor and Cape May-Lewes Ferry are located, all or in part, in Lower Township. The Port of Cape May, which is the second largest fishing port on the East Coast, is also in the township. (Press of Atlantic City)

With every new idea, however, comes issues. First, it's too late to put this up on a voting ballot for this November. That's not too big of a deal.....it's not like this topic of conversation is new or anything.

But, how would Cape May react?

I guess we'll all have to find out.....
