A visit to The Yard Family Christmas lights display has become an annual for many Jersey shore residents, including myself. Now, the family wants to trick out the home of a frontline worker as a way of saying 'thank you' for putting their life on the line during the pandemic.

It's basically a 'Merry Christmas in July' from The Yards Family!

The Yard Family, of Absecon, plans to go all out with decorating and paying for an elaborate light display for one lucky frontline worker come the holidays.

I have personally come to enjoy spending time with The Yard Family, getting to know them better over the years. They are wonderful people who only seek to bring some joy to and support their community. If you've never visited their Christmas lights display on E. Curran Drive in Absecon, it's quite the sight to behold, and no Christmas for me for the last several years would be complete without at least a drive-by.

A spokesperson for the family tells SoJO that not only do they hope to spread the same kind of cheer they provide to so many visitors to The Yard Family Christmas Display, but ease the burden of a frontline worker having to think about decorating when they're resources are needed and being utilized for a much greater cause: battling the coronavirus outbreak.

If you or someone you know is a frontline worker, check out all the info below on how enter for a chance to win a free holiday lighting package. The deadline to nominate a frontline worker is November 1, 2020!
