Woman Stabbed Boyfriend in the Back in Boardwalk Apartment

Police in Atlantic City arrested a woman after responding to a call of a stabbing in a boardwalk apartment Monday morning and finding a 58-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to his back.

Police say the victim was stabbed by his girlfriend and transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with a non-life threatening injury.

Antonella Bottaro, 56, was found inside the apartment on the 100 block of the boardwalk at 7:28am Monday and taken into custody. Officers observed blood stains on the bed comforter and puncture wounds to the mattress and couch cushions.

She was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon. and is being held in the  Atlantic County Justice Facility.
