Wildwood Police Help Boy’s Dream of Becoming Police Officer Come True
Wildwood welcomed it's latest police department recruit: a 9-year-old Wisconsin boy with a rare disease, who has dreams of being a cop some day.
Someone please grab the tissue box, because stories like this one always get me emotional!
Ethan Kranig is from Prescott, Wisconsin and suffers with a rare disease called ectrodactyly ectodermal dysplasia. When Wildwood residents and officials heard he was planning a trip to the beach town, following treatment at John Hopkins Hospital, they wanted to welcome him a surprise.
And what was that surprise? Being sworn in as an honorary member of Wildwood Police Department! Watch the touching video below:
Ethan and his family were also welcomed with a free helicopter and tram ride, thanks to the community of Wildwood.
This is what South Jersey is all about - coming together as a family and community, whether you're from here or not. Wildwood gave an amazing display of that!
