Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I cannot for the life of me understand the obsession with fall. For the past few weeks, social media has been inundated with people expressing their excitement for the season. Articles about pumpkin spice have been flooding in since July. Maybe I'm just a negative Nancy, but I don't want to see a thing about fall until September. In my mind, once September hits summer is over. I know technically summer runs until September 22nd, but for me September means fall.

As someone who has grown up in this area and spends their summer at the beach, I can't emotionally handle the end of summer. It's honestly depressing. I spend a good portion of August staring at my news feed with a sour look on my face. The relentless posts exclaiming that it's almost "sweater weather" makes me want to vomit.

I get it, I am being bitter. If the internet can complain about the heat and humidity of the summer, I can complain about fall. This is a two way street here people. Summer is just so wonderful. It's warm, the days are longer, and summer activities are highly superior to fall ones. Pumpkin picking and apple cider are nice and all, but I prefer the beach and boardwalk pizza.

I won't lie that, in the fall, I do enjoy wearing sweaters. They are cozy, but if the weather allowed it I would prefer to be in a sundress and flip flops. I am not a sweater, boots, and jeans girl. I hate feeling like I have to bundled up. I hate layers.

This rant could go on forever, but I will leave it here. Stop rushing summer into fall. Fall is clearly in 3rd place when it comes to seasons.
