What if Groundhog Day Took Place in South Jersey?
The 136th annual Groundhog Day is tomorrow in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. But, what if it were to take place somewhere here in South Jersey?
Punxsutawney Phil is on the eve of predicting six more weeks of winter or six weeks till spring. It's on my bucket list to see this little see his shadow (or not) in person, but Punxsutawney, PA is nearly a six hour drive from where I live.
What if Gobbler's Knob could be recreated here in South Jersey? It was done for the 1993 movie 'Groundhog Day' with Bill Murray. That was actually filmed in Illinois.

I've come up with 10 perfect places I think Groundhog Day could work in our area. These spots could definitely be transformed into a version of Gobbler's Knob, and I think these towns would be excellent hosts. Check out the list below and see if you agree.

And, on a side note, yes, living in South Jersey sometimes feels like the movie 'Groundhog Day', lol.
