Verizon Finally Has A Way To Block Those Pesky RoboCalls
I am sure there have been millions of prayers regarding those awful, annoying, pesky, OBNOXIOUS robocalls.
Well, Verizon has finally come through and is now able to answer our prayers.
It is a robocall blocker called Call Filter that basically sorts through incoming calls and only allows through "reliable" phone numbers.
This service is available for Androids and iPhones but THIS is the best part -- there is now a FREE version. In the past, customers could only get Call Filter for $2.99 per month as a "premium service" and the full package is still available for that price.
Click here to take a look at a recent press release from Verizon but here is a good overview of what to expect:
"The company’s free Call Filter product offers wireless customers new protection from robocalls. With it, customers can get alerts when a call is likely spam, report unsolicited numbers, and automatically block robocalls based on their preferred level of risk."
Are you sold yet? Good - just download the Call Filter app to your phone. Here is the app for Androids and here is the app for iPhones. Verizon members can also simply "add on" this free service as part of your account or head to the company's website.
Thank you to Eddie Davis from one of our fellow stations, Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG for giving us the scoop on this useful information!
