Uber and Lyft Offering South Jersey Voters a Free Ride to the Polls on Election Day
The ride services Uber and Lyft are making it easier and more convenient to vote in the upcoming South Jersey elections.
Both apps will reportedly be adding a new feature on Tuesday, November 6th allowing riders to find their designated polling facility and book a ride to go vote, according to CBS Philly.
Uber and Lyft are underwriting the free Election Day rides, along with two non-profit groups: Democracy Works and #VoteTogether.
Both companies are also offering promo codes to political candidate headquarters interested in helping supporters get to the polls.
This definitely minimizes excuses for just sitting at home and binging Netflix! Remember to vote on November 6th!
