Toms River Confirms July 4th Fireworks

There have been a lot of changes to pretty much everything around the Shore this summer. A lot of towns were postponing their Independence Day fireworks shows, with some towns moving them to Labor Day, and others just canceling them entirely and focusing on next year.

The latest ruling from Governor Murphy expanded group gatherings to 500 people as of July 3rd, so Toms River will host a fireworks spectacular at Shelter Cove.

Sipe Adjustment Group in Toms River will sponsor the show. Owner Jesse Sipe said he understood the difficult decision that the Beachwood officials had to make when they canceled, but took the opportunity to give back to the community after being in business for more than thirty years.

Shelter Cove will limit seating to 500, and will obviously be able to be viewed by boat from the water. Five-hundred seems like a pretty small crowd, so it'll be interesting to see how early people show up, and how those surrounding side streets get filled. If you live around Shelter Cove, be prepared for that influx of people on July 4th.
