Around 11:30 Saturday night, ACPD officers were stopped by a 26-year-old Egg Harbor Township resident at Morris and Atlantic Avenues; the victim said he had been assaulted by three males and that they pointed a handgun at him demanding his cell phone. The suspects fled after stealing the victim’s debit card.

A short time later, officers spotted three men in the 3300 block of Arctic Avenue that matched the descriptions provided by the victim. The officers attempted to stop the three men when one, a 17-year-old male, fled. The fleeing teen, who slipped on some ice which helped an officer catch him, threw a loaded handgun under a vehicle which was later recovered.
