Three Arrests Have Been Made in Toms River Missing Teen Case
Last night Toms River Police Department announced that Ashley Combs, the missing teen from Toms River had been found safe. In a post on the department's Facebook page, they told the public that more details would be released this morning. A press release has been made on the Facebook page including an update that three have been arrested in connection to the girl's disappearance.
The post stated, "The Toms River Police Department has made 3 arrests in connection to the willful interference with custody case involving Ashley Combs." They went on to describe the details of the case and the detectives that worked on finding the teen. "The Case Detective Ryan Quinn with support from Officer Brittany Catalano, School Resource Officer Graham Borg, Officer Frank Zangara, Detective Andrew Chencharik, and Detective Steve Bucci in addition to many other officers and dispatchers within the department worked together to locate and retrieve Ashley."
Last night detectives discovered that Ashley was with her biological father Brian Combs. It is believed that the teen was moved from house to house to avoid being discovered.
Reports on Ashley's home life have been reported to New Jersey Department of Child Protection and Permanency. Currently, there has been no mention if an investigation will occur on that front.
The department detailed the arrests made in the case, "Brian Combs with Obstruction and Interference with Custody he was subsequently lodged at the Ocean County Jail; Linda Roszel was charged with Obstruction and Interference with Custody, she was subsequently released on a summons; Mechelle Combs was charged with Obstruction and released on a summons."
Further review is needed for additional charges.
