The Friday 5! Five Bands to check out in Atlantic City, NJ, area this weekend
Summer at the Jersey Shore is officially here!
A popular feature on our show has become Happy Hour Friday, where we share are favorite beers and get suggestions from our listeners for new ones to try.

Summertime, cold drinks, and live music, there is nothing better, so here are five music acts to check out this weekend in South Jersey.
1. Kono Nation, The Lobby Bar at Hard Rock.
This fun band is play Friday from 5-9 and plays a bit of everything. Classic rock and Top 40 are in their wheelhouse, but they're pretty versatile. I saw them play over at Bally's Yard and they've become of the bands I look for if I am heading out to the city.
Here is their song list.
2. Dead Reckoning, Robert's Place in Margate
If you are a fan of the Grateful Dead and some laid-back Jams, these guys nail it. I've seen them multiple times and will definitely be checking them out again this summer. They will be playing Saturday from 6-9 at Robert's in Margate.
3. GoodMan Fiske, The Yark at Bally's
These guys will get you ready for the Adjacent Festival with a great collection of anything from Top 40, Dance, Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, Country, Oldies, and more!
I've seen these guys multiple times and they always get a great crowd and keep the dance floor packed.
They take the stage Friday at 10pm.
4. The Sensational Soul Cruisers, The Point in Somers Point or Sweetwater River Deck.
For generations, the Sensational Soul Cruisers have been entertaining the Jersey Shore with their catalog of hits from the ’60s, '70s & '80s Old School, Classic Soul, RnB, Motown, and Disco.
The party never stops with this 11-man horn band, so check them out Saturday from 7p-11 at The Point in Somers Point or Sunday at the Sweetwater River Deck.
5. The Part-Timers, Yesterday's Creekside Tavern
These guys are fun, lots of Sublime, cool 90s vibe. I've seen them play some Breweies and in the Cape May area at Rusty Nail. Definitely, a chill vibe of Sunday, when they take the stage at 7:30 at the Yard at Yesterday's.
